Choosing your lawyer

When buying your first home, it pays to have a lawyer you know you can trust.  The earlier you get a lawyer the easier it the home buying process is for everyone.

But how do you choose your lawyer? Word of mouth, recommendations from friends and family, real estate agents, the yellow pages, Google… There are so many ways to pick! It’s important that you feel like your lawyer is on your team, that they have your best interests at heart, and that they will explain everything to you simply and clearly.

Smaller law firms (like us!) that focus on conveyancing are more likely to give you personalised care when helping you with your first home purchase. We recommend that you ring us, have a chat and check out whether we’re the right lawyer for you. We’re pretty sure you’ll be impressed!

At Emma Stanley Law, we’re well-versed in the art of getting you into your first home. We have one set fee that doesn’t change, no matter how many phone calls or extra appointments you need. We’ve also got years of experience with Kiwisaver and the Housing New Zealand HomeStart Grant.

Being a smaller firm allows us to work closely with all our clients and guide them through the process from beginning to end. We can explain everything to you in simple, clear-cut terms, and if you need any extra information you don’t have to worry about it driving up the cost.

If you’d like to know more about getting us on board – call us on 03 218 EMMA. We’d love to help you.
